Fortunately, most of us have a roof over our heads that can protect us from the harsh winter weather. But winters can be brutal for people without a home or adequate resources to keep warm. There are hundreds of people living on the streets, often without thick blankets or enough clothes to keep them warm. During the winter months, the temperatures drop below zero degrees in many areas of the country, especially at night, and it can be life or death for homeless people.
